Canada'\: Winnepeg to thunder bay

Going across Canada this summer. Has anyone driven a motorhome from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay? Curious about what road to take and will a Class A with a toad be able to navigate safely? Any help is appreciated.

A good many transport trucks travel the Trans Canada between those two points. I don't see you would have any difficulty. Its beautiful through the Lake of the Woods area any time of the year. My wife and I went from Wpg to Trenton On. on a motorcycle many years ago. Gives you an appreciation of how beautiful our country is.

Winnipeg to Thunder Bay

Hi, I have not travelled to Thunder Bay recently in an RV from Winnipeg but did so several years back and you will not have any difficulty. I have travelled many times from Winnipeg to Kenora, Ont (Lake of the Woods) in various RV's the most recently last year with a 43 ft with a toad. No issues but you will have to check out reservations as availability for RV sites can be at a premium in the summer. The TransCanada highway east of Winnipeg is divided until you are just east of Kenora. Then the most direct route to Thunder Bay is the TransCanada and marked Highway 17 in Ontario. Diesel fuel and gas availability may be an issue depending on the range of your vehicle so judge accordingly but fuel and gas prices are cheaper in Manitoba in any case. It is a picturesque drive and enjoy. Hope this helps.
