It's a GPS, not GOD. The folks that program them make mistakes. If it won't take you across, plan 2 trips...One to the start of the bridge, and a second from the other end to your destination. One point, when going through the toll booth, keep to the right most position. It's the widest. If forced to use one of the others, go crawling speed. We cleared the mirrors, but each had no more than an inch clearance.

Also have the 770. Don't recall if it tried to avoid the CBBT last time or not. Done the CBBT many times. Piece of cake. Not much of an area to stop & close propane on Virginia Beach end but plenty room at Visitor Center on DELMARVA end.

Quite the experience in the middle not being able to see land sometimes. Also your ears 'pop' as you go down in the tunnels. They are that deep.

I've been through a few times but never with my RV because I don't take delivery of that until next month. I've seen warnings that it can be closed due to high winds. I guess you just have to find out whether or not they'll let you cross when you get there.
