Cleveland to Lincoln NE

Seems there are two choices:

90 to 80 by Chicago.

71 to 70 to 74 to 72 to 36 through Indianapolis.

I think I80 is still the most reasonable route to go. But having said that, I80, especially in Indiana seems like its always under construction and for a toll road can be rough sometimes. Also probably more trucks. And my wife always lets me drive through Chicago. Again lots of construction and the last time we went they had torn out the center of the lanes and split them. My GPS had no idea whether we were in the right lane. Had to watch the signs very carefully. And try not to hit that area during rush hour. Its tough enough at other times. I onetime looked at getting off and taking Hwy 30 around it, getting off at around Valparaiso, but seemed like it would be pretty slow going. Maybe someone else who has taken that route can comment. Once you get past Chicago it pretty much smooth sailing.

Know Lincoln well. Born and raised. PM me if you would like any suggestions.

I-70 thru Indy is closed. Last year when we came thru there, the road was being replaced. All I-70 traffic was rerouted around Indy on the bypass. Check to see if they are still working on it.
