Road is fine. Couple of one lane bridge reconstruction and/or road patching stretches between Salina and Junction City. Check weather, sometimes can have strong cross wind from north or south with gusts to 20 or 30 mph in the eastern Colorado / central Kansas / western Kansas sections.

Second what Powercat said. About two weeks ago I took Woodmen Road in Colo Spgs to join Hwy24 to Limon then I70 to KC. Try to get thru that stretch from Goodland to Salina as early as possible because mid afternoon those W Kansas crosswinds pickup and get sporty beyond 20 mph winds.
Never seen so many bugs on the front. Washed my windshield every gas stop.
Fuel is cheaper in KS than Colo due to their crazy taxes. Even cheaper in MO.

Last month we traveled from Denver east on 70 to 135 south (which merges with 35 south of Wichita). 70 was just fine for us, pretty smooth and not much traffic. Stayed in Russell Kansas, RV park right off the interstate with a long pull through.
