Colorado Springs to Glenwood Springs

Would rather avoid Denver this time. Been there, done that.

Route suggestions??

In a Class C motorhome. No toad.

We drove the exact route recommended by twogypsies last fall in a class C. It's all 2 lanes until I70, but an easy drive. Much more scenic as well.

As usual this would be the Simplest route - but with your Size Independence Pass Could Come into Play - - - - seriously if I were driving a small C and had no issue with a few narrow sections of Road - RT 82 from Twin Lakes to/thru Aspen would sure be Fun.

The road is length restricted because of the narrow sections but if you can drive comfortably in the Mountains - you should be fine- and with the Chance to Catch Maroon Bells - OMG - Beautiful.

Also look at Monarch Pass and Gunnison to to RT 133 past Marble and into the Springs that way, so many options and Never Enough TIME!

JMHO,

Map of RT 82 - https://www.bing.com/maps?osid=fa311...=2&form=S00027

Hard to take a bad route in Colorado if you stay off the I's.

RT 82 narrow section.

Thanks Busskipper! I had hoped you would chime in here. Great suggestions, as usual. I have no problem with mountain driving and narrow roads.

Yes it is - IMHO one of the most Beautiful drives on an I anywhere. Just go east on I-70 from the Springs and the Over Under is just Beautiful.

The all too often spring Rocks have been an issue lately - -

Enjoy the Drive however you go,
