What is the best route to go north of Colorado Springs and by pass Denver to meet up with I 76 to Nebraska?

Thanks for your help

two options that I know of

take 25 north to south end of Denver then e470 to I76 but e 470 is a toll road, all freeway great road (stretch between Monument and Larkspur on I25 that is under construction) but it will cost $ for the toll on e470.

other option is take 24 out of the Springs to Limon then up 71 to I 76 24 is good 71 is decent

Just adjust your timing to miss the busy hours

You could go west at C-470, then to I-70 East, then I-76. No tolls
But might add 15-20 min to a “no traffic” I-25 route.

This may be too late for you but if you haven't made the trip yet I would go the route shown on this MAP.

Take US24 out of Colorado Springs to Limon. At Limon take CO71 to Brush where you intersect I76. All good two lane highway with little to moderate traffic. This route avoids tolls on E470, the construction mess south of Castle Rock and Denver traffic.

Avoid I25 at all cost - through 2022. 21 miles of nasty construction between Monument and Castle Rock. Narrow lanes, no shoulders, and very bad roadways.

Use US83 North to Parker where you can pick up e470 North. US83 is mostly 2-lane, but a very pretty drive between Colorado Springs and Franktown. E470 is a toll road, but worth the expense to avoid the I25 traffic through Denver. It's a "license plate toll" road so no stopping to pay. They'll mail you a bill.

A pleasant alternative is US24 East to Limon, then Colorado 71 north to Brush where you pick up I76. It's mostly two-lane through the rolling Colorado prairie, but not a bad drive at all.

Regards,

Randy

Thanks for the help, we went east at Colorado Springs on 24 to Limon and 71 north, overall was a good road. Next time I would cut over to 71 farther south, there are two options that look good. Hwy. 24 out of Colorado Springs has plenty of traffic and stop lights. Thanks for the help

I would second this route, we did it a few years ago without any issues, if I remember once you get above Limon it is pretty rural
