Can someone tell me how motorhome friendly this route is? We think we will head home to Seattle VIA 50.

Can you be a bit more specific? I see where Rt 50 goes from Pueblo, Co, to Sacremento, CA. But then, I loose the road. How do you use Rt 50 to get to Seattle?

Gary - We decided to go to Colo springs to Highway 24 up to Vail. Then I 70 to Glenwood Springs for the night. Then to Grand Junction and went up 139 to Rangley, 64 to 40 then to Vernal Utah for the night. We then went up 139 to 44 by flaming gorge then to Green river. We then took I-80 to 30 and up to Montpelier Id for the night at the KOS.
Not exactly a direct route and I don't recommend 139 for the faint hearted. Man what a day. 10 mph in 1st gear but we made it. Sure glad I had my Ultrapower installed before we left.

You guys had quite a drive, those 10 ( yes 10) switch backs and the elevation climb can make for an interestiong ride, but beautiful once you hit the top. Glad you guys took the indirect route,
We have to drive that stretch anytime we want to head north, You for sure don't want to do it once the snows fly.
Happy travels

US-50 ends at the junction with I-80 in West Sacramento, CA, where I-80 Business and I-80 By-pass separate.
From Sacramento, from the junction of US-50 and I-5, I-5 will take you directly, and most quickly to Seattle, WA. I suspect this is what KayLarGo intended in the first post. Just wanted to clarify for those who may not be familiar with the California end of US-50.
