Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Cleveland, Oh.
We were considering spending the night at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Brooklyn, Oh., just south of Cleveland on our way to Elkhart, In. It seems like it is right smack dab in the city and I was concerned that it might not be such a wise choice. Has anyone been there? Stayed there? Is it a decent neighborhood?
Thanks for your help!

I used to live close to there. I can't say that the Cracker Barrel will allow it but it's a not a bad area. It in the 'city' for sure but close to the highway. Its an older area of town.

It has been our experience that Cracker Barrel parking lots tend to be too small for adequate maneuvering/parking, albeit they may have a few designated "RV parking" stalls. I would NOT attempt to park there although we enjoy dining at said restaurants. JMO

I just did a Google Maps view of it and there are three RV spots.
I've been to several Cracker Barrels around the country and can't recall one where there weren't cars parked in the RV spaces and I had to park my coach else-ware.
Good chow though!!!

I have a 36' & toad, have spent a few nights in a Cracker Barrel, always ask manager, never an issue YET. Space wise, I tend to park in the rear on a side, the RV/Bus slots are too short for my getup.
My normal areas are Wilmington NC (USS BB55 NC) and near Orlando, Fl.
Orlando is very iffy.

We have a 24' plus toad. Glad our rigs are similar. I'm concerned for having adequate parking space.
I know that you have said that you have "stayed a few nights in a Cracker Barrel" but did you happen to stay in this particular one? If so, was it congested like others have mentioned?

Several of the service plazas on the Ohio Turnpike have RV sites that even have hookups. See Service Plazas | Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.

If this is the right location, here is what's posted on overnightRVparking.com.
Cracker Barrel# 508
Parking is Permitted.
Address: 5100 Tiedeman Rd.
Brooklyn, OH 44144
Last Update: Sep 24, 2013
Phone: (216) 898-1822
Directions:
I-480, Exit 13, then S on Tiedeman Rd ~ 0.2 mi. R into drive on S side of store, then take second entrance behind store for access to Bus & RV spaces.
Comments:
RVer reports that Overnight RV Parking is allowed, confirming reports from July 09 and Aug 11. Cracker Barrel Corporate Office requests that RVers obtain permission from store before parking overnight, and this store requires permission. Park in one of three 40-ft Bus/RV spaces behind store, or as directed by store. Lot is level & well lit. Two reporting RVers say that RR tracks adjacent to lot were busy & noisy all night long.

Have found parking for my 38' rig a few times in a CB when I did not have a towed.. Can not recall if I've evern parked in one WITH a towed,, However the spots are normally 40- long so I think not.
Flying J is another option, there is one in BeaverDam OHIO (A few others scattered about) Woke up there one AM and checked ohiogasprices dot com (part of the gasbuddy dot com group) and found out there were two stations that were #1 and #2 in OHIO on the lowest-to-highest price last,, they also were lower than any station in Michigan or Kentucky.. That J, and the Pilot across the street (Same price of course being the same company).
I filled up.

I have eaten and parked overnight at this Cracker barrel...with a 36 foot fiver and a Dually pickup
We eat dinner than stay in the rear parking lots of Cracker Barrel's whenever we are on our way from point A to point B...used to have 37' Diesel Pusher towing a Jeep Grand Cherokee...I always call ahead to see if it is allowed...I have never been told no but once I was told the lot was small so we went to next one down the line...
On rare occasions when our arrival is past closing, we just park in the back and then have our breakfast there...we like the food...they like the business...works out for both parties.
Regards

I cannot say 've ever stayed in a Cracker Barrel parking lot, however I've been sitting in their lot waiting for them to open for breakfast.
Nothing like those Pecan Pancakes with real maple syrup. Yummm!

For those on a healthy-food-diet who have to prepare their own, there is always Home Depot. Huge parking space AND 24/7 free WiFi
