Crescent ,Or to Crescent City, CA

Greetings !
Traveling in a Entegra 42 DEQ Anthem .
Anyone out there that could recommend a route ?
Leaving Crescent Oregon and heading for Crescent City California. I have had good luck asking folks what there experiences have been
enroute to their destinations. Highway conditions,
warnings, height restrictions, etc. I can enter the coach parameters into the navigation system.
Still , experience is the best teacher.

There are some road restrictions in CA for motorhomes greater than 40'. Check out this site thoroughly for which roads. I'm thinking more for Hwy 199 which we haven't driven. We easily drove the rest of the route... OR97/138/62 to I-5... no issues.

To avoid the length restriction on 199 in CA about the only practical option is 97, 138 to I-5. South on I-5 a short distance and take 99 into Dillard and take OR 42. At the town of Coquille take 42S to 101.

There is a cutoff in Myrtlel Point that is county road, I am not sure on if it a goat trail or not. I seem to recall someone saying it was okay.

Otherwise it is down to Redding and 299.

Two cautions. There is a couple of BLM/NFS roads near Galice that lead to Gold Beach, OR. DON'T. Fortunately most mapping programs don't show them any longer.

The other is CA 36 out of Red Bluff. The road is slightly better but darn near a corkscrew.
