Cross Country East to West

Wife and I are expecting opportunity to travel from Raleigh NC to Squim, Washington during month of June in our 42FT MH. Any travel suggestions, routes, route to stay away from would be appreciated.

We looked at RV Trip wizard and it selected any one of three but being 3000 miles I prefer to truth the drivers first and foremost.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

You have a lot of options. If you take a more northern route that puts you on 94, you might consider heading up to Hwy 2 somewhere Dakotas. Itís a less traveled 2 lane in reasonably good shape, it takes you through some nice country and small towns, and right by Glacier NP. Itíll take longer - just depends on your travel goals and parameters.

Hwy 2/20 is a very nice drive. We've taken it from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Washington and also reversed. Avoid Seattle. Drop down from 20 at Tonasket, WA on 97 to Hwy 12 west to I-5 and north to 101 and on to Sequim.

Your route just depends what you want to see along the way and how much time you have. If you want the fastest and like interstates then take I-84 to I-5 at Portland then north. We enjoy secondary roads much better.

Have a good trip!
