DC to Columbus OH

Hi All,

We’re headed back west tomorrow. The first leg is DC to Columbus Oh and I’m wondering if anyone has suggestions for a route through the mountains. We did 76 on our way out to Gettysburg and it was miserable. I’m hoping for a better route home. Thanks in advance!!

Not sure which side of dc you’re on but I’ve done 70 out of Towson,md and enjoyed the trip.

That’s the route I was looking at. Did you go over the mountains on that route?

This coming summer we are going from Columbus, Ohio to DC, and we will be taking 70 toward Gettysburg. Yes on 70 you have some mountains, but not bad. We have done the trip a couple of times pulling our smaller 5th wheel. Now this time we have our tri-axle toy hauler, plan on stopping at Shanksville for Flight 83 memorial and to spend a week in Gettysburg before getting to Cherry Hill RV park.
