Denver I-25N

In a few days going through Denver on I-25 travelling South to North. Is it best to stay in I-25 all the way or is there a bypass/loop that is better?

I've driven I-25 from Denver to I-80 many times and it seems to move along without incident.

As long as it is not rush hour I-25 moves along pretty well. The southern part is 6-8 lanes in some places.

Avoid the rush hour - avoid the Toll Road - when you get the bill you might think you sold part of the coach.

25 is fine just roll on through.

Well it can be fine and it can be a long slow ride or anywhere in between the two. Just depends on time of day and or whether or not there are any accidents. The E470 loop will alleviate that but it is longer however speeds stay pretty much posted limit or better. And as a previous poster mentioned it will cost you big. It is actually a private toll road so it is all about its ROI. Assuming you are driving a tow vehicle (with two axles pulling a 2 axle trailer or MH(with 2 axles) and a toad it will run you just over $55.00. If you have another axle add another $16.00.

Like others have said, depends on the time of day, but compared to other cities, Denver's traffic isn't that bad. With that said, I store my RV South of Denver, and the maintenance is done at a shop North of Denver. I have an account setup (you can too, it's easy, but if this is a one time trip for you, may not be worth it). www.expresstoll.com/ You basically fill out an online form, and they send you the stickers to put in your windshield. Your credit card is automatically deducted. However, if you wish not to setup an account, they will send you a bill in the mail, at a higher rate, based on your license plate (picture taken as you go through).

My wife prefers this route, as we've seen downtown Denver enough, that we like to avoid it when possible.

Thanks to all of you for the information. I will stay on I-25 and will drive through between the hours of 10 a.m - 2 p.m. Think I will stay off E470 since this is a one time trip.
