Done with Rand

Our less than two-year-old Rand McNally RV tablet 70 has “electromagnetic interference”. There is no fix other than to have Wi-Fi and go into settings blah blah blah. It’s very exciting on the road when it loses its GPS signal and leaves you wondering where you should be going......Piece of crap!

Asking for recommendations for an RV GPS that works on satellites. We can’t rely on our phones because we are always find ourselves in places with no cell phone reception. Anybody got anything reliable with good customer service?

All GPS works via satellite signals (GPS=Global Position Satellites), if you are downloading maps then you need an internet connection tho. We use a DeLorme puck on a laptop and the maps are loaded on the hard drive. So you need a system that downloads the maps onto whatever system you are using.

Many of us have a Garmin RV GPS. I never heard of a GPS that used wifi before.

Look on their site. RV770(7") or there might be larger now.
