East Coast

Planning a trip from Saugerties, NY to Ocean City, MD.
Would rather miss all the tunnels and other obstacles for a 40 ft coach.
I'll be coming down I87.

TIA

No propane allowed in the Baltimore Tunnels.

Yes, that was my concern, was the tunnels and propane..
I'm guessing that route avoids them..

Thanks

Oh, Okay. We'll be in Castaways (OC, Md) May 2-4, then May 14-21. Didn't know if we'd cross paths.

Tim

Are you familiar with the two campgrounds I mentioned.
I've never been to either of them.

Ya only 1 tunnel on 95, none around the way I sent you. Found out why you are shy about it now.
Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) govern the transport of hazardous materials across Maryland toll facilities. Under these regulations, vehicles carrying bottled propane gas in excess of 10 pounds per container (maximum of 10 containers), bulk gasoline, explosives, significant amounts of radioactive materials, and other hazardous materials are prohibited from using the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) or the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (I-895). The Francis Scott Key Bridge (I-695, the Baltimore Beltway) is a convenient alternative route for crossing Baltimore's Harbor. more...

Big Oaks is nice. I don't know about the other you mentioned. Stay far away from Yogi Bear's Jellystone Delaware Beaches.

We were down there two summers ago. Delaware Beaches State Park was jammed full, and there was not a tree or drop of shade in the entire park, IIRC. The beach across the road from it was nice, but the park looked to be unpleasant. We spent one night at Treasure Beach resort out in Selbyville, it was OK but not memorable.

When I leave Ocean City and head home into VA. and south to Florida, can I use that Chesapeake bridge tunnel?

TIA
