Just a heads up to those who are going to be heading through El Paso via I-10.

According to the article, I-10 will be closed both ways.

Last week a semi crashed and broke a utilitly bridge crossing I-10 in El Paso

To avoid El Paso, take Loop 375, up transmoutain 6% grade 2 lanes each way. There is no problem going up and down this stretch with a trailer, gas coach etc..

I live close by and been up and down with my Workhorse gas RV towing my Jeep with no problems.

You can bypass the Franklin mountain by taking NM 404

Thanks for the heads up! Looks like they are talking about 15 August. Is there other local insight that points to the 11th? Am returning thru El Paso on the 11th and may consider Transmountain regardless.

I just put the 11th as that is 2 weeks from when the artilcle was written.

I live in the area, and sure as the date gets closer they will give a firm date, i will update, this as soon as i hear something locally.

I would think that TXDOT website might have somemore info.

According to TXDOT the closure will be Wed and Thurs night 15th and 16th

Contacting Mod to get title edited, nevermind, i had to go to advance and was able to change title.
