Evans Peak Road. Can the RV do it?

We will be in Colorado in the next couple of weeks and would like to drive up the road on Evans Mountain, near 70. I am used to smaller roads and would love to take the 33' diesel pusher up it but thought I should ask if anyone else has done it. I could always take the 69 Tracker if the RV will be a problem.

I have been up that road twice on a bicycle. Most of it is probably 5-6 percent grade. One or two steeper sections. I have driven up steeper roads in the motorhome.

I read a blurb somewhere saying it may be closed for the year.

I have ridden to the top of Mt. Evans on a motorcycle and would not attempt it with a motor home. Roads are narrow, steep in places and there is limited parking at the top. In addition, the Colorado DOT says vehicles over 30' not recommended.

Thanks for the info. If the DOT says 30' or less then we take the Tracker.
