Feather River Canyon (CA) in a class A

Heading to Graeagle, Quincy, and the American valley from the Sacramento area tomorrow. Plan to head up I80 to CA89. I was thinking of coming back to the central valley via Hwy 70 through the Feather River Canyon, just to see different scenery.

Can anyone who's done it tell me if that route is appropriate in a 36' gasser and toad? I can drive mountain roads, but I want to enjoy the trip, not white-knuckle it.

You could do it but you won't enjoy it. Very beautiful drive, some tight areas, tunnels and always construction.
I love it in a car.
Have fun.
