Years ago 1976 I drove a bus the whole length of the GSP and later drove a Truck from Cape May up to exit 105 Asbery Park were I had to exit the GSP because no commercial traffic allowed North of that point. A RV is a personal vehicle and have seen them up there.
Here is some info from one of my registration books.
Vehicles longer than 55 feet aren’t allowed on the Garden State Parkway. Call 908-247-0900 for specific towing regulations for the NJ Turnpike.

You’ll want to take 287 and avoid the GSP on the north end of it:
Trucks and other commercial vehicles are prohibited from the Garden State Parkway from Exit 105 in Tinton Falls north to the New Jersey-New York border. There also is a weight restriction of 7,000 pounds (including passengers, fuel, and cargo) for all vehicles north of Exit 105.

Stay in the middle lane going under the older bridges North of the Raritan River. Other than that you are good to go. I've driven my class A up and down the GSP many times. The weight restrictions don't apply to your RV.

I ran the length of it north and south last April with my 26 ft 11'6" Class C. I stayed in the center lane and had plenty of room. The tolls are a PIA but not if you have an EZ-pass. RV s are allowed in the express lanes too.

7000 pound limit not true for Recreational vehicles.
I Spoke with the State Trooper Seargent in charge of that area and this particular area of enforcement, and he said while the internet confuses a lot of people...recreational vehicles were not included.
When in doubt..call the enforcers.
Do be careful of some bridge heights though.

Used it many times in my Class C, no problem with the whole parkway.
Bridges are low if driving on shoulder, not the travel lanes. The low ones are well marked.

I think I remember one bridge where the stone arch began just a few inches from the right side lane marking....no shoulder there...
Sure there was enough clearance for my lower class C, but it was heart throbbed enough let alone someone with little experience in a big class A.
