As I said, there are sections along I-10 that are always worse than others and are under construction/updating. However, when I traveled it last in January there wasn't anything that would have driven me to seek another route. We came back east from Tucson on I-10 and picked up I-20 at it's beginning, and found the same situation. Some sections under construction but again, nothing that would drive me from that route either. By the way, when we're heading to the southwest each year we spend long days on the road. Six hundred plus miles a day are the standard and we usually overnight in places like rest areas Walmarts or wide spots in the road. We do the same when we run to Alaska every other summer. If we're not in "SIGHTSEEING" mode we
"ROLL". (Just so you have some background on how we travel.)
