Foxboro to Cooperstown Routes?

Looking to travel this route in the Fall & want to stay off interstates. We have a 43 Foot Diesel Pusher and tow. Looks like I have a couple of options to stay off I-90.

Rt 9 to US 20 through Albany & on to Cooperstown or south of I-90 through Connecticut.

We're just looking for a scenic/interesting route. Not necessarily to stop and see any sights. Any thoughts on these options?

Thank you!

Be very careful if you decide to go west on Rt-20 from Albany. Just west of Duanesburg there's a very low railroad bridge. Like 10'6" or so. You can see the bridge on Google Maps if you do the street view. But it's not marked that I could see.

My Dad used to live just west of there near Sloansville. If I was coming from that direction I would have to take Rt-7 southwest from Duanesburg and then come back north to 20 on Rt-30 or 30A.
