No option, take a limo and hire a driver for the RV.

I'd run over to 81 and take it to 88. 95 is always a mess and avoiding the major metropolitan areas is usually a time saver.

Depending where you are, you could run RT15 up to Harrisburg to catch 81.

Don't think smooth roads are an option to any of us anymore.

We lived in Shippensburg, Pa for a while off 81. Plenty of truck traffic, will thin a bit as you get north of Harrisburg. Still way better than 95 corridor.

Safe travels

We took much of that route a few months ago, from Winchester VA to the New Paltz exit on 87. We've also taken 87 North from New Paltz to well North of Albany. Not bad at all, in my opinion, but I seem a bit more tolerant of road conditions than many here seem to be.

The other option is I81 to I88 to I90 near Albany.
I88 to Albany has no toll on I90 eventhough its a toll road.

I can't speak for I81 but I88 is / was almost complete on getting new pavement. It is a toll free road. If you travel at night or dusk watch for the deer. And as mentioned I90 from I88 to Albany is also toll free.
