From the town of Interior, SD to Lovell, Wyoming

Hi there, I need some quick help! We are leaving tomorrow!

QUESTION: I need a safe route from Interior, SD to Lovell, Wyoming:
We are traveling from Interior SD (just outside of the Badlands National Park), to Big Horn Canyon (near Lovell, Wyoming). My Garmon RV 550 GPS And TripWizard (which we usually love), tell me to go 14/14a. I read on it (verifying), and that sounds like a HORRIBLE idea!

VEHICLE INFO: Driving 40ft Class A DP towing a Jeep Gladiator. No vehicle problems or concerns

EXPERIENCE: Driver has driven quite a bit, and is a great driver. We Went through the cascades, up crazy priest grade hill to Yosemite (other routes were closed), through Colorado (vail pass), and Route 81 to the Smokies. So we are no stranger to the mountains, but we do have a healthy respect.

TRIP WIZARD SAYS: 90W to Ranchester, to 14, 14A, to Lovell.

GUT SAYS: 90W to Buffalo, to Ten Sleep, Worland, 16N to Greybull, then 310N to Lovell.

I just left Sturgis, SD today and came to Thermopolis, WY. Taking 16 it is no big deal. There is some road construction but outside that its the way to go. Easy drive. Happy travels.

You have had some good advice.

I am a Wyoming native and have family in Gillette and Riverton. I've driven US16 from Buffalo to Worland so many times! Not a problem for your RV nor for you. Its not a hard drive. The grades can be long but not stressful.

By the way, I-90 between Sheridan and Billings has some pretty good grades so it isn't a free lunch!
