Gatlinburg to I40

I’m driving a 39’ Kountry Star Class A towing a Jeep and was wondering the best route from Gatlinburg 321 to I40. Are the roads easily drivable, curves, hills, etc. Thx …

I did that a few months ago in our 37ft Journey pulling a Land Cruiser. Not a bad drive at all. Much better than 441 south of Gatlinburg through the Smokies. If you start off south of Gatlinburg I highly recommend the Parkway Bypass. It is a little narrow and steep but better than down town which is very narrow, very crowded, and lots of pedestrians.

We were there last month and I second the above recommendation on using the bypass. Avoid the weekend traffic if you can. Also, i40 can be congested around the Knoxville area at times. Just be patient and enjoy the trip.

You would take 321 into Pigeon Forge, then pick up 441 thru Sevierville then 66, follow the signs to I-40.

The 321 turns left at Wears Valley Road/light, continue straight that is 441/66. The 441 turns left in Sevierville, stay on 66. There is one tunnel on the drive thru the Park on 321 to Pigeon Forge from Gatlinburg. Can't remember the height, but there is no warning of a low tunnel on the RVTW system.
Road is not hard to drive, but the traffic thru Pigeon Forge and Sevierville can/is heavy and backed up sometimes.
