Great follow up, thank you! When we go, we will only have the dually to drive, so it is good to hear there are options, albeit uncomfortable. That being said, I am a stickler for rules, so if I am too long, so be it.

Normalization of Deviance

Normalization of Deviance - the gradual process by which the unacceptable becomes acceptable in the absence of adverse consequences.

Please consider the effect your vehicle will have on the dozens of other motorists you'll meet on the Going-to-the-Sun Road.

The absence of adverse consequences for you does not assure the absence of adverse consequences for the oncoming motorists who are in compliance with Park regulations.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

These (https://www.glaciernationalparklodges.com/red-bus-tours) are a wonderful alternative for those with an oversize vehicle.

Take care,
Stu

Rent a car for a day. It will be more enjoyable. Or take the park shuttle and get on and off wherever you want.

I've done the Pike's Peak summit road twice. Once in a Volvo station wagon and once in a VW microbus. Interesting trip both times. I remember I wasn't ready for the thin air at the top of the 14,000-foot peak and had to sit and rest before heading back down. The ride back down was the scariest part!
