Good Sam Trip Planning

Wasn't sure if this was the right place to put this, but I'll start here.

It appears that the Good Sam website changed their route planning software, and I find it very difficult to use. It seems to add a lot of unnecessary detail, the Good Sam Parks along the way are difficult to identify, there is no cumulative mileage, and there are no options to select or avoid particular routes. I sent a note to the webmaster, and was told that once I got used to it, I'd like it. I'd like to get opinions from folks who use Good Sam Trip Planning, and if they are as frustrated as I am, encourage them to contact the webmaster at the Good Sam site and let them know of your displeasure.

Like you, I tried the new trip planning tools on the Good Sam site, and like you, I didn't like it. I also sent a message to the website but didn't recieve anything back. The only thing I know to do is to keep sending messages to the website. Right now i'm pretty disgusted with Good Sam and some of their changes.

And while we're at it, a suggestion of raising their discount rate to something above the current 10% would be nice. We've found that unless the GS campground is in our direct path of travel, any benefit of the 10% discount is quickly eaten up in additional fuel costs. Often a closer/nicer CG will yield a better value, IMHO. Bob

planning on leaving Holly Springs NC late september and want to take the southern route to Oceanside, California. Any suggestions will help. this is the first time for us to make this cross country trip with our gulfstream crescendo. We would like to avoid any mountain routes. Appreciate your help.
