We live in Butte, Mt. . It is a beautiful drive all the way to the Idaho border. On I 15.

Go down the east side of Flat Head Lake......then down the Swan River Valley.....or go through to Plsn down the east side.....just avoid the west side of the lake.......we have done this about 15 times
