highway 65 in Arkansas

A Thanksgiving trip will have me driving highway 65 from Conway to Harrison.
The Ozarks are really just large hills-right? (I'm still a little nervous)
Does anyone have any insight on this stretch of highway?

Hwy 65 is a major highway without being an interstate. You should have no problems at all.

There are a few sections that have a fairly steep grade for a couple miles each near the Buffalo National River area, but it's not bad.

Like the others have said, should not be an issue, even though I have not driven that route in a couple of decades.

Used to be one steep grade with a runaway truck lane at the bottom of it.

Yes I was surprised when I drove that grade last yr. if you have a grade brake Workhorse or whatever Ford has use it. If you see a sign showing steep grade just start slowing down then and drop down a gear as you start down tap the brakes a few times. It will be easy in that 30'r

Do not worry, nice drive for your rig. They show some of this as Interstate on some maps. That is not true today but the drive is easy.

The one grade I'm talking about is not far out of Conway ... Had a runaway truck lane at the bottom and curves to the the left at the bottom ,, unless they have rerouted that road . Going down heading north .
