Can anyone comment on the suitability of US Highway 77 in Texas . . . specifically between Waco and La Grange? Plan to travel south first, then back north next week. Plan to have just the motor home, not the toad. Thanks!

Hwy 77 is a good highway. You just have to slow through all the towns inbetween.

I have to agree on Hwy 77. It is good smooth road with a number of small towns to go through. Just watch the speed limits as tourist contribute to the local law enforcement offices.

Thanks . . . based on your tips (bhutch and TXiceman), I utilized US 77. Great highway - nice to get off the Interstate Race Track - very little traffic.

Appreciate your responses!
