It's been years since I went that route with my 5er. 45' truck and trailer.
No problems then , limited spots to pull over would be the only thing that comes to mind.
A friend who RV's lives in Hinton , I'll Skype him for any possible construction ( etc. ) up-dates. BRB.

OK , here's the scoop.
Hinton to Grand Cache , 88 miles , a little narrow. Rec-commends Marv Moore campground if your stopping. He says RVs of all sizes are on the route all the time in summer.
Road really opens up Grand Cache to Grand Prairie, he says one of the best in province .
Only services on route are in Grand Cache, and cell phone service is spotty at best. ( as is all the route to Alaska)

I realize this info may come to late for your trip, but, I'm in Hinton today so I thought I'd pass this on.
Highway 40 is signed as the scenic route to Alaska at the junction by Hinton.
The locals also refer to the section of the Yellowhead Highway , between the Jasper Park gate and the city limits as the Golden miles.
Because of the speed limit enforcement and tickets issued. Passed 5 police vehicles along that stretch , only saw 1 on the entire rest of the 450 miles I covered on Friday.
Safe travels.
