Houston, driving thru on a Sunday

We will need to get by/through Houston tomorrow (Sunday) on our way to San Antonio. Looks like our options are straight thru on I-10, take a southern loop (610), or a longer southern loop (8 thru way, toll road). What are any suggestions from others?

The 610 loop circles Houston so you can go around north or south. However, on Sunday just taking I-10 straight through should be okay. If your coming into Houston on either I-45 or Hwy 59 then the tollway works well to get you to I-10 as it leaves Houston heading west.

Straight through on I-10 on a Sunday is your best option.

Thanks for the good advice. We hit Houston from I-10 East about mid day and moved thru with no issues. Still a lot of traffic but no delays and able to maintain speed limit.

Wow, for a guy who has lived in rural America and smaller cities all my life, that's a lot of commerce for sure.
