Houston traffic for Friday 9/4/15??? Suggestions???

I am traveling back to Florida from San Antonio,Tx this Friday . We should be passing thru there around noontime in a 40ft.Motorhome plus a toad.
Am I crazy to go thru Houston on I-10 at that time ?
Does anyone have a comment?

Friday at noon should not be bad unless there is an accident. Stay on 10 straight thru. 610 on the north side is under construction with narrow lanes. And I think the Beltway 8 also has some construction. Just try to stay in the middle lanes and you will be fine. Be careful at the 10 and 45 split, kinda sharp turns and 45 north toward Dallas exits on the left and then 45 south is also a left exit.

Anytime other than 3am to 4am you will be in traffic. It's Houston and there is really no way around it. Try to relax, take it slow, wave to the honkers and you'll get past it.

Shouldn't be a problem. I'm often on the road at that time, will be tomorrow to head north out of Houston and everything is fine as long as there isn't an accident then all bets are off!
