Hwy 24 in Colorado from the Springs to Buena Vista?

Got an email from the chamber in Buena Vista stated there was a road concern just West of the Springs. I was planning to travel 24 next Friday coming from Limon. I can't find anything online about 24 issues?
Would it be better to come in from the South and take 69 and 50 because of the flooding and mud slides?

Thanks
Pat

Take a look at the Coloado DOT web page and they have up to date road conditions posted. We know that they have closed 24 at times when raining just in case of flooding or rock slides but keep it open most of the time due to many people living in Woodland Park and working in Colorado Springs.
