Hwy 81

Hello all, We will taking our new 2 us MH on the first 200 mile + trip end of this month. We will be leaving the eastern shore of MD heading to the eastern most point of TN. Roan Mountain to be exact. My question since we are at maxx wieght and our 1st trip how are the roads mostly 81 south though Front royal down to TN grades are my biggest concern as I said at maxx not Too familiar with Coach 20K dry weight on W22 chassis 8.1 with 5 speed Allison Tranny. Any routes would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The Fords

There are some hills on 81 but nothing to worry about.

Millred1<><> Easiest route to Roan Mt. Tn. is I 81 south to I 26 east - left on US 321 toward Elizabethton,Tn. then right on US 19e to Roan Mt. US 321 is mostly 4 lane from I 26 to Roan Mt. DO NOT TAKE US 421 from Bristol,Tn.
Safe travels...
