Hy 178 Bakersfield to Indian Wells

Any problem with 33' MH and tow from Bakersfield--Lake Isabella--Indian Wells?

Hwy 178 up the Kern River canyon from Bako to Isabella, is a tight twisty road with solid rock walls right beside the roadway in places. Avoiding rubbing the side of your MH against those rocks requires moving over into the opposite lane, sometimes on blind curves with other vehicles racing down hill as fast as they can go. I wouldn't drive my MH up it, but some do.
I'm a bit confused by the Indian Wells part. Indian Wells is way down south between Palm Desert & Indio, no where close to hwy 178?
I'm guessing you're referring to a suburb of the Inyokern area near hwy 14. In the 12 yrs I lived there, no one referred to it as Indian Wells, although I see some maps have it as that. Anyone going from Bako to Inyokern in a big rig would use 58 & 14, not 178.
