I-10 from Texas to FL

Hi everyone,

Did a search, but didn't really get a definitive answer, so here goes. It appears from some things I've read that I-10 in Louisiana has improved some. Is this correct? FL to Mobile is as far west as we've driven it, and I seem to read references now and then about how bad it was/is. We've driven some rough roads this trip and are tired of being beaten up.
Any advice on us getting home?

We drive this route at least twice per year. The Louisiana roads have improved significantly over the past two years. There is one short area that is still rough. I haven't found a more effective route.

Yes, I-10 has improved a lot. The stretch thru Lake Charles, LA will still jar your fillings loose. Just take it slow.

Thanks. That makes me feel somewhat better. We'll steel ourselves for the Lake Charles area and do the best we can.
