I-20 Shreveport “WORST” Road ever!

We’re finishing up a 45-day 20-state 4000 mile trip from Texas to Minnesota to DC and North Carolina and back to South Texas. We’ve seen some horrible interstate highways along the way. We were sure that Michigan was the absolute worst until we drove into Shreveport La today on I-20.

My goodness whoever is in charge of that section of road needs to be fired immediately and maybe jailed as well.

Worst 22 miles of highway we’ve ever encountered. We had to slow to 45 mph and that was still far too fast to drive on.

I-49 south from I-20 is just as bad for the first 20-30 minutes and then gets smooth. we were headed to Baton Rouge and thought we'd cut the corner off by exiting I-49 at US 190. bad idea. it was worse than I-20/I-49 combined.

Interesting Last Nov. heading west I took I 220 to bypass Shreveport and thought that was one of the worst roads I have been on.

I-10 east and west of New Orleans may be worse.

I will second that. Definitely one of the worst interstates we have driven.

220 is a baby’s butt compared to taking 20 through town.

I81 north through Pennsylvania. I thought my teeth fillings were going to fall out. After about half an hour of this we came across a sign that said "Rough road ahead".

Shreveport on I-20 is no saint- but I-81 from Harrisburg up to Binghamton is awful

Work took me to Shreveport 30 years ago, for a couple of years. Sad to say it was terrible then too. You would think by now they could have figured out how to fix it. No telling how many millions have been wasted on it.

All the roads in Mississippi are terrible.
California I-5 and 99 are also miserable.

I-20 Shreveport “WORST” Road ever!

Work is under way on west bound I20 from Pines Road to the Texas I20 welcome center. Hopefully it will be completed soon as well as I49 from Texarkana to I220.

I haven't driven all the roads in Mississippi, but the ones I've been on ain't that bad. I frequently drive I-20 all the way across the state, and it's not bad at all. I've also driven US 49 from Jackson to the coast, and found it to be a good road. Also, US 82 across northern Mississippi isn't bad, for the most part.

I will say that I-20 thru Shreveport, LA is one of the worst Interstates I've ever been on.
