Thanks,

I drove I-40 from Williams, AZ back to home in LaGrange GA a few months back and frankly, enjoyed the trip and road surface conditions. Nothing bad to report and a whole lot better than many other east-west interstates I have used. Getting across to and through Memphis was the worst part- just bad road conditions and traffic until over the river and a mile or 2 south. We went down to Birmingham on I-22 from Memphis. I-22 is fantastic. Once over the bridge at Memphis, all was well. Birmingham was a bit messy as they had closed some of the interstate 20 due to construction, but the workaround was quick if you hit it right. We both actually enjoyed the run on I-40.

That good news since I will be traveling a very similar route.

Thanks,
Ben
