I-40 vs I-26, Asheville to Sneedville

Quick question... we’re new to driving a 45 diesel pusher should we take 26 versus 40 up to Sneedville? I recall I 40 being chocked full of truckers and very narrow.

TIA

I've been on I-40 many times. It is no different than any other interstate that goes through the mountains. Remember that your engine brake is your friend. Time of day is key to traffic. You shouldn't have any problems.

Hey folks, thought I should check in and let everyone know the route we are taking. We did take I 40 but then headed up to Sneedville Tennessee to see some friends. We are now heading west and currently are camped in a Walmart parking lot in Boonville Missouri.

Fire crackers are going off all around us and we are celebrating July 4 with the rest of America.

This is still the best place to live in the world!!

Thanks to everyone for the travel advice, but we’re going to go directly home as we have so much to do.
