I-5 or I-405 Through Seatle

We're heading north on Sunday Morning from Centralia Washington and will be going through Seattle.

Just looking at the Google Maps and it's showing taking the I-5 straight on through or also taking the 405.

Just wondering if any of you who know this route can suggest the better way to get through Seattle on a Sunday Morning.

Thanks

I have pretty much come to the conclusion that 405 is just as congested as I5 and since 405 is longer I just grit my teeth and take I5. If you go through on Sunday morning you really should not have that much of a problem.

On a Sunday, I'd use 5.

I came thru Seattle on Monday at approx 2PM and maintained speed at 55 or above all the way. I think 405 is worse than sticking it out on the 5

I5 has so many more lanes. 405 feels a little tight to me.
