Straight through. It's one of the easier cities to go through and like others have said, the bypass adds so many miles you'll not save time.

"Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead". Absolutely go straight through! Yeah right, between the hours of midnight and 6 AM. If not the traffic it will be breakdowns or accidents. The I-10 interchange is a continuous source of amusement (35 years and they still have not finished it or got it right). Take one of the bypasses. Less stress, newer road. I believe the east bypass may be shorter than the west.

As of right now 5 24 2019 I 95 is closed both directions due to wildfire. It is a mess in North Jacksonville. Thursday Rt 17 was stopped for miles due to fire.
