We usually go on maps on cell phone and see if there are any red back ups .then decide which way is better.

It may be a little busy on 95 north that time of morning. I would take 295 West and loop around back to 95. I drive South on 95 that time of morning about once a week and I use 95 straight thru. Northbound is busy with traffic into downtown and I 10 is right there also. I live in North Jax.

I just finished a round trip from Port St Lucie to Hilton Head Island and back, took the Jacksonville I 295 west bypass both times. I just don't want to get into the JAX downtown traffic.

Hi resullivan,
Straight through is what I do every time. Been doing it several times a year for 30 years.

Straight through for us as well. You don't save any time on the "circle" routs but do put more miles on.
We have driven it 4 or 5 time s in the last two years and never a problem.

Perfect post for today as we're heading through there after work (from Orlando). Plan to get on the road just in time for Orlando rush hour so hoping to catch the end of rush hour up there too.

I like the 295 East (Jax Beaches) loop. It is no shorter or quicker but there always seems to be less "crazies". I have noticed a truck or RV go straight through and we meet at the next junction. It's a nicer easier drive.

Same for us.
Straight through the middle.
Never an issue.

We always use 295 east. East seems quicker to me than west.
