I35 Through KC on Fri or Sat morning?

Planning on leaving Wisconsin next week, Thurs the 21sot or Fri the 22nd. Probably staying just north of KC at the end of first day. Would it make sense to time the trip through KC on Sat. morning rather than Fri morning for less traffic? Any other tips about traveling through the area?

We go through KC quite often, my daughter and grandchildren live north near the airport. Saturday morning should be a no brainier. We leave on Monday mornings quite often. I usually wait till 9:00 am, and it's not bad then. The bad times is 4:00- 6:30 pm on Fridays.
