We're setup in Apple Valley. Weather is very unsettled. A very powerful thunderstorm came thru Wednesday late night that was very atypical - reminiscent of tornado alley. During yesterday's storm, we got virtually nothing here. But some of the very close areas were hit hard. At one point it was suggested that southbound 5 travelers take 58 thru Tehachapi - which apparently also experienced heavy storms. Currently, we are getting sporadic light rain, but the clouds are building. If at all possible, you need to hunker down until all this calms down.

Looks like the roads are open. Safe travels. This is going to happen more this winter because of the drought.
