I70 Ohio-Missouri (anything to avoid?O)

We are traveling on Sunday from PA - OH - IN and then to IL-MO on Interstate 70. I have seen some comments that construction around some areas - like Indianapolis - is crazy and is adding a TON of time to the trip - like hours?

Anyone been through that area on a Sunday and have any suggestions? Should it be OK? Or should we be looking for a possible different route?

TIA!

I've been through 70 between Indy & Cambridge on Sundays. No issues w/construction. Unless something's changed in the last year though, the stretch from the OH border to Richmond is absolutely horrible. Pot holes & patches make for a bone jarring ride. Be sure your stuff is secure before motoring through there.

You might want to check the DOTs for up-to-date information.

where at in MO is your destination?

Like someone else said....the roads out that way are horrendous. It won't take you long to get tired of the bone jarring pot holes.

We are actually just passing through on the way out west.

Not sure where you are heading out west but some good roads we just traveled on coming east from Denver. I-72 out of Champlain to Route 36 and great roads and mostly 4 lane with little traffic.
