Johnson City, TN to Swanton, OH

Time to take my annual trip from Westminster, SC to Michigan this summer. We normally go thru Knoxville and up I75. Thought we'd try a different route thru Johnson City, TN. Google Earth shows it to be mostly divided 4 lane highways most of the way, we aren't in a rush and looks to be very scenic. Anyway would appreciate and thoughts,must sees, etc. Txs.

Just came back from UP Michigan Trip, took I26 out of Asheville to Kingsport, TN and then followed US23 to Columbus, Ohio By Pass, and Hwy 68 to Findlay, Oh onto I75. Nice drive and not congested, prob added 1 hour to trip to Swanton. Countryside very pretty. On the way back from Findlay we drove to Kenton, Marysville then onto US23 South to avoid Columbus. Two lane roads but not busy and beautiful farmland. Made it a 3 day trip from Luna Pier, Mi staying at Wolford Landing on the Ohio River train trax nearby but not a problem the we camped in Duffield VA at Natural Tunnel, SP really something to see. Anyway it is a route we'll take again...nice to avoid Cinci and Dayton congestion and the Big Rigs.
