Las Vegas,NV to Twin Falls,ID on Rt. 93?

We have a 30' 5th wheel and I'm wondering if it's ok to get off Rt. 93 at Ash Springs and use Rt. 318 to Ely, since it's a little more direct, or just stay on Rt. 93 all the way to Twin Falls ?

I've used the route 5 of the last 7 years, coming and going to AZ, new highway around Twin falls , speeds up Interstate access at the north end .
Taking the 318, north from Ash Springs, cuts off about 30 odd miles and avoids some climbs.
People complain that it's boring and poor cell service in spots, but for me it's just fine .
Never a problem 5er or coach.
