From Lassen to Lava Beds Nat'l Mon: Lava Beds is off 139.

Study the park web site: https://www.nps.gov/labe/index.htm

You didn't say where you're planning to stay at the two parks but if staying at Lassen's Manzanita C.G. on 89 at 44 then take 44 east to 89 to 299 to Bieber. Turn left (north) at Bieber on Hackamore / Lookout Road (County Road 91) until it ends at California Hwy 139. Turn left (north) on CA 139, Your next turn will be a left onto Forest Service road 97. From there you'll turn left on to Forest Service road 10, which will become the park road once you cross the park's south east boundry.

You'll have to decide where you're staying first.

I was thinking I'd stay at Rancheria RV Park just outside Lassen on highway 89. Thanks for the directions up to Lave Beds NM.

How is 44 from Suzanneville to Old Station (I think it's called Feather Lake Hwy) up to Rancheria?

How is Lava Beds National Monument - Indian Wells Campground? Big enough for a 36' fifth wheel? It looks ok on Google Maps.

We'll get to Bend, OR eventually to stay with some friends. We've been to Crater Lake; might stay again for a day or two, not sure. Anything else along the way from Kalamath Falls to Bend? I can't recall.

Thanks

44 is a good road

Indian Wells campground - OK if you don't come on a weekend or holiday. Many sites are pull-offs from the road so if you have slides on the road side they might extend too far at some sites. Read some reviews to get an idea. If it doesn't work there's a no frills RV park at Perez - Eagles Nest RV.

Rancheria looks like a good place to stay.

Collier Memorial State Park at Chiloquin is a very nice place to stay for Crater Lake.

We've stayed at a national forest campground at Sisters and there are many national forest campgrounds around Bend. That's a nice area.
