I don't know the ohio section all that well. I've been on it a few times for sure.
WVs newer 4 lane roads are not the best, heck i wouldn't call them average. Quite bumpy honestly. Don't plan setting the cruise control.

The I-75, US 35 area of Dayton has become a construction nightmare. I'd try to go north at Xenia and use I-70 to join I-75 north of Dayton. US 35 is heavily used by trucks in WV and Ohio and it does suffer from all the trucks, but most roads do nowadays.

We travel Rt 35 from Chillicothe to Charleston several times per year. Except for a 10 mile stretch from the Buffalo Bridge to Southside , it's all 4 lane divided highway & very easy travelling for a motorcoach. Even that 2 lane section is good with wide berms on the side. Just know it's heavy with semi-truck traffic.
