Louisiana Interstates - HORRIBLE

We went from Florida over to Texas and took I-10 to I-12 to I-49. The interstates in Louisiana were in absolutely horrible condition. Several times we had to slow down to 40 MPH because of how bumpy the roads were. Worst interstates I've ever been on. I would avoid it like the plague. We took a more northern route back and although it was 1.5 hours longer, well worth it.

Stay away from California. They’re worse.

Louisiana Interstates are pretty bad. Mississippi has some that compare.

Interstates are notoriously in bad shape....border to border/coast to coast

High traffic flow, heavy traffic flow, old/worn out and unable to do any major resurfacing due to the need for high traffic flow and NO MONEY

We rarely travel Interstates.........

And when I travel, I always watch the vehicles in front of me for their bounces so I have time to slow down for the big ones. I learned that fast by driving through LA, MS and San Antonio, TX.

Louisiana is not alone in having bad interstates. While traveling from Alabama to Wisconsin and back I was hard pressed to fine many good interstates.

Interstates are pretty bad in almost all states that have heavy traffic. Infrastructure as a whole is lacking funding.

Why do you think that is with all the federal and state taxes on each gallon of fuel? I think the money is there; it's just not being used for its intended purpose.

You Sir are 100 percent correct and the Governor of Louisiana wants to add 33 more cents to a gallon. Bad enough are insurance rates are
at the top need tort reform badly
