Mesa to Albuquerque

On Monday we leave Mesa to head to our home in Portage la Prairie, MB, Canada. We want to stop in Albuquerque to visit friends.

We would like to know the smoothest, best route to get to Albuquerque, and any good overnight stops on the way, in case we do not get there in one day.

Jim

I've been up through Payson and Moorcroft (sp) getting to I-40. I've also gone across US 60 to Socorro and then up I-25. Both are very scenic and hilly, twisty routes. There are 2 RV parks in Moorcroft, which is about half way if I remember. Since there's more interstate this way, it may be the way for you. There's an RV park in Socorro, but you're almost to Abq by the time you get there. There may be more RV parks on the southern route but I don't remember... I'm a little jealous... I love that country out there. It's part of my old territory, and I miss it... Have a good trip!
